What is Spec?

Spec is a website mockup builder that helps you experiment with typography, color palettes, and AI-generated copy. Create professional wireframes in seconds without design or coding skills.

How do I use it?

1. Choose a template (Corporate, Artistic, Tech, or Personal). 2. Enter a brief description of your project and pick a tone. 3. Click 'Build wireframe' to generate copy and get font/color recommendations. Customize fonts and colors as needed, then share your preview link.

How many builds can I do per day?

Anonymous users get 20 builds per day. Sign in with Google to unlock 60 builds per day. Quotas reset at midnight UTC. Pro tier with higher limits is coming soon.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your designs are stored locally in your browser. Share links encode the design state directly in the URL—we don't store your mockups on our servers. Feedback submissions are stored temporarily for product improvement.

Why Google Fonts?

We use the Google Fonts API to provide a wide selection of free, web-safe typography options. If the API is unavailable, we fall back to a curated set of bundled samples.

Can I export my mockup?

Currently you can share a preview link. Export to image/PDF is planned for a future release.

Is Spec free?

Yes, Spec is free to use within daily quota limits. A Pro tier with higher limits and additional features is planned.
